That&#8217;s the 4th year in a row cPanel prices have gone up. Here is more information about the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpanel.net\/cpanel-price-adjustment-2023-2024-partners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> cPanel price<\/a> increase &nbsp;<\/span>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ever since cPanel was acquired by venture capitalists, we&#8217;ve seen prices raised regularly. The latest round of increases follow similar hikes over the last three years, and are due to take place from December 16th, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2018, cPanel prices have more than tripled for resellers of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.20i.com\/web-hosting\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"16\" title=\"web hosting\">web hosting<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An admin on the cPanel forum, Coursevector, offered <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.cpanel.net\/threads\/new-cpanel-pricing-end-of-2022.704649\/#post-2948193\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">this example<\/a> for a server with 120 accounts on it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Originally: $20\/month<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sept 2019: $49\/month (+145% increase)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jan 2021: $54.50\/month (+11.22% increase, or 172.5% from 2018)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jan 2022: $60.79\/month (+11.54% increase, or +204% from 2018)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jan 2023: $67.79\/month (+11.52% increase, or <strong>+239% from 2018<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While we understand that prices have to follow increased costs, are these surges excessive?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Users&#8217; responses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you&#8217;d expect, this didn&#8217;t go down well with users when the increases were announced in late September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s some anonymised responses from the forum and Reddit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">cPanel increases again!? In the middle of a worldwide recession? Sorry, I&#8217;m finally done with this.<\/p>\n<cite>cPanel partner (NOC) on the cPanel forum<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People need to switch away from this sinking ship.<\/p>\n<cite>Reddit user<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sickening. Instead of moving away at the last price increase, I stupidly stayed. Price rises will be applied to existing users&#8217; bills from 1 January 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can you do about it?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The obvious choice is move to a hosting control panel like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.20i.com\/my20i\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My20i<\/a>.
