Our Day at LoopConf 2025

Launched in 2015, Loopconf was created to be an event that brings together the people driving innovation in the WordPress space, and building awesome things using the platform.

One of the highlights was hearing from John O’Nolan, Founder and CEO of Ghost. Twelve years ago, John launched Ghost on Kickstarter with a bold vision: give independent publishers the same tech advantages as media giants, without trapping them in closed, corporate platforms.

Fast forward to today, and Ghost is thriving as a non-profit: $8M in annual recurring revenue, a global team of 34, and more than $100M earned by creators using the platform.

We also got a great session from Ivelina Dimova, Senior Developer at Awesome Motive, who shared practical tips on how to take your WordPress sites and plugins to the next level.

She showed us how to offload heavy tasks with serverless libraries and how to tap into powerful ML and AI tools, without needing to become an expert yourself. It was a super useful, hands-on talk packed with actionable insights.

A huge shoutout to all the other speakers who shared their knowledge and kept the crowd inspired all day long.

We had a great day at Loopconf! It was such a fantastic opportunity to connect with so many of you, attend inspiring seminars, and walk away with fresh ideas and valuable insights.

Finally, a big thanks to the organisers for putting together such a well-run and engaging event!
