Drop your picks in the comments and tell us why. It could be…
🍕 Pizza
🍺 Drinks
📺 Big screen

Are you all about the atmosphere with friends and a big screen? Or are snacks and stats non-negotiable? We want to hear it.

Game on. ⚽
My top 3
Ice cold 🍻
Spicy 🍕
A good set of 🎧
⚽ My top three essentials:
👥 Friends
📱 Live Stats
📺 Big Screen
Friends for the celebrations, live stats for the analysis, and a big screen for every goal. Perfect match day! 🙌
1. Mates – no brainer
2. Beer – leads to no brain! 🙂
3. Big screen by the pool, so can float and watch the match! – Happy Dayz!
#itscominghome
Pizza in the oven, mates on the sofa, and the match on the biggest screen we can find, that’s non‑negotiable. Add a decent set of speakers so you can feel the roar of the crowd, and a proper brew (or cold beer) in hand. Phone on silent, comfy shirt on, and 90 minutes where the only thing that matters is the football.
My top 3: 📺 Big Screen, 🍺 Drinks, and 🏟️ Living less than a mile from the stadium!
Why: To be completely honest, I’m a combat sports guy and know next to nothing about your brand of football. But I do know atmosphere, and since I live less than a mile from Lumen Field here in Seattle, the energy is going to be unreal this summer. My perfect match day is turning on the big screen, grabbing a cold drink, and listening to the actual stadium roar echo through my front door a split-second before it happens on TV. Winning that $100 credit would be the perfect kickoff to building out my fresh reseller setup, too! ⚽💥
Pizza, Drinks and Mates
Drinks, Big Screen and Friends
Beer
A comfy chair
Watch the Cricket instead
Fast Wi-Fi, cold drinks, and reliable hosting – because the only thing allowed to go down on match day is the opposition’s defence.
As a lifelong football fan, these are my 3 essentials when starting any world cup match.
1. Giant screen tv (to make sure I’m able to see messi at his peak performance 🙃)
2. Nachos and brownies are always my go to. This has been a tradition for the past 16 years.
3. My brother and brother in law’s together, screaming at the screen in unison😂
Pizza, Drinks and Friends. Always better with mates round even if they are supporting the opposition 🙄
Friends
Pizza
TV
🍕 Pizza
🍺 Drinks
📱 Live stats
(and 20i – the best)
1. Friends
2. Pizza
3. Cold Air Conditioning!
Popcorn and guaraná, the biggest screen and best sound possible, and lots of friends cheering and rooting together, creating fun and hilarious moments that stay with you for a lifetime! Every World Cup brings back great memories; I’ve seen two of our national team’s five titles in live tv, and I hope to see another one soon! Maybe this one 🙂 !
Pizza
Drinks – you know the kind
Friends
Pizza, Friends and Big Screen.
Works for Netflix too
Pizza, Beer and an Outdoor Projector! Then (weather permitting) we can all sit outside and enjoy it with the kids running around the garden 🙂
Cheese, good friends – for celebrating or commiserating – and a phone so I can text my mate Chris who is over there working on the stadium/event staging. He’s an Exeter City fan so I’m not sure if he’ll be used to such heightened levels of match day excitement.
Pizza, Drinks and Big Screen.
I don’t watch football at all but it would be nice to have all of these and watch a soppy film… 😛 🙂
Drinks, food and family. Especially if it is a big game
A glass of wine, some nibbles and good company. 😁
It’s got to be friends at number 1
Number 2 is a decent screen though it doesn’t have to be huge
Number 3 a good football resource like our site Soccerphile.com hosted on 20i
Pizza – always a crowd-pleaser for sporting events
Zero sugar ‘fizzy pop’ (I think this would all y’all call it out there in the UK) – because water isn’t grand enough for the World Cup, and I quit drinking alcohol years ago.
A book about the rules of football – as an American, our football is different, and many of us have little exposure to what the rest of the world considers football … So a book explaining the rules in a little more depth would be conducive to enjoying the festivities
Looking forward to hosting all y’all for this year’s World Cup!

A book explaining the rules of football – because I’m an American and our football ain’t the same 🤣
Looking forward to seeing all y’all from across the world come visit us for the world cup this year!
If I had to pick just 3 thinks I’d go for:
1) Friends – makes a football match a million times better to watch with other people!
2) A decent screen – Luckily widescreen TVs are common so this is a lot easier than it was 20 years ago
3) Snacks – even the most interesting matches have slow, boring bits so a nice range of snacks and drinks can help fill those boring spells in a match!
… and if I had to choose one thing NOT to have it would be VAR getting involved in the match 🙂
Big Screen, Friends, and Pizza – Perfect Combo
For me, the perfect match day is all about the shared atmosphere. You need a massive screen so nobody misses a single bit of the action, a great group of friends to celebrate with, and plenty of pizza to keep everyone fueled up without anyone having to cook 😀
Crossing my fingers for the 20i FC shirt, it would look great for the England opener 😂
My top 3 would be Big screen, Friends and a guide to the colours that the teams are playing in as during the last Tournament ( Euro 2024) I got confused and cheered when Denmark scored as I thought England were playing in red. it was very embarrassing.
1. Unbreakable internet connection with 5g backup
2. A fridge full of snacks & drinks for the late kick-offs
3. Fully charged phone for the group chats
🍕 Pizza – for the taste
🍺 Drinks – for the kicks
📺 Big screen – for the scale
📺 Big screen – Projected
👥 Friends – Room or Garden FULL
🍕 BBQ or Pizza
Here are my strong picks for watching the World Cup:
1. Stable streaming connection (no buffering, no downtime — basically 20i-level reliability)
2. Live stats + group chat chaos
3. Friends/atmosphere
Bring on the World Cup (No Scotland – No Party)
3 items from the Team at Apollo3D
1 – Some reet decent Pork Pies…..ideally from one of the Otley Butchers
2 – Ice Buckets……to keep any beverage of choice chilled
3 – An alarm clock….because of the unsociable hours of the matches….we need to be up for work….
I would have to say my top 3 essentials are
1. Beer
2. Beer
3. More Beer!
Big screen, friends and drinks – definitely. I include family in friends but i put the big screen first, because inconsiderate family members sometimes get in the way of viewing – especially when they are off to refresh the drinks – while I handle the remote control.
🍕 Pizza
📺 Big screen
📱 Live stats
Noisy crowd with great banter, beer and eternal hope (Scotland supporter).
Snack, Large TV and Pepsi Max
Big screen 📺
Friends 👥
Pizza 🍕
Because football without shouting at the TV with your mates while inhaling questionable amounts of pizza just feels wrong.
Live stats can stay on someone else’s phone 😂
1. Friends – You need the banter if the match turns out to be a flop.
2. Big screen – My eyesight was not what it used to be. Too long spent staring at a laptop screen.
3. Drinks – Need something to spill when your team scores.
