We’ve added a new option for how WordPress core updates are handled via StackCache.
You can now choose whether StackCache follows the WordPress default behaviour (security updates only), auto-updates all core releases or disables core auto-updates entirely.
➡️ All sites using StackCache have been automatically updated with this feature – there’s nothing you need to do.
This came directly from customer feedback. Because we own our platform end to end, we were able to roll it out straight away.
What is StackCache?
StackCache is our free, custom-built edge-caching plugin for WordPress. It works alongside our built-in global CDN to dramatically speed up website loading times by caching dynamic and static content on network servers.
StackCache stores your dynamic page content at the “edge” of the network, meaning subsequent visitors receive your pages instantly without needing your site’s server to rebuild them.
Because it is designed to work with our Managed WordPress Hosting platform natively, you do not need third-party caching plugins
