How do I go about pledging my environmental commitment?
As mentioned above, .eco domains work a little differently. After you’ve bought the domain, you need to pledge your commitment to sustainability by activating a .eco profile. You’ll be sent an invitation to do this by email.
However, rest assured that it’s not a lot of work, and you don’t have to be an ‘environmental champion’ right away: just commit to taking climate-positive steps going forward.
Are there any other restrictions on buying a .eco domain name?
Yes, but it’s related to the environmental pledge you make, covered in the question above. Put simply, you must be working towards positive environmental change. This covers organisations, businesses, government bodies and individuals.

How do I transfer my .eco domain to 20i?
If you already have a .eco domain, you’ll need to get the domain name authorisation code (EPP code) from your current provider ?to transfer to us and start saving on renewals.
Then, you need to search for it in our ‘Transfer a domain’ tool in our control panel, My20i. You can then start the transfer, which can take up to five days (usually less, and your website will remain online). Will I get a free year for transferring a .eco domain?
You won’t lose any time already paid for on your .eco domain by transferring to 20i and once the domain transfer has completed you’ll get an additional year applied for free!
