How do I transfer my .net domain to 20i?
To transfer a .net domain to 20i, you’ll need to get the domain name authorisation code from your current provider. Then, you need to search for it in our ‘Transfer a domain’ tool in our control panel, My20i. You can then start the transfer, which can take up to five days (usually less, and your website will remain online). Once transferred you’ll start saving on renewals. Do you do discounts in the first year?
No: with 20i, what you pay in the first year is the same price as renewal. That way, you can make savings of up to 50% compared to other domain name registrars. Should I register other versions of my .net domain name?
It’s up to you, but to be safe and protect your brand, we’d recommend buying other versions of your company name with different popular top-level domains.
For example, if you had the yourcompany.net web address, a competitor or criminal could buy yourcompany.com. They could use it to compete, or even worse: fool your customers into being scammed.
