Is 20i the best reseller hosting in the USA?

Tl;Dr: Yes.

I decided to have a look at the US based reseller hosts who are regularly listed in the “top x reseller hosting” articles, and compare them to our reseller hosting.

A sea of cPanel

The US hosting market is almost totally reliant on cPanel/WHM for their hosting control panels. This inherently restricts the type of hosting they can offer to single server hosting, including resellers and their customers.

It also limits the number of packages resellers can sell/host. With specific web space/storage allowances, it’s impossible to offer unlimited sites as a feature (even though some advertise it).

Basic WHMCS plans

Autoscaling cloud hosting

In the comparison chart above, I’ve used the term ‘true cloud hosting’. By this I mean hosting that is not tied to one server and scales automatically depending on demand.

If there’s a surge in traffic, your website will continue to offer the same fast experience for every user. Additionally, if there’s a spike in demand and your shared hosting ‘neighbours’ become busy, it doesn’t affect your site speed.

With cPanel hosts, if you share a server with a busy site, it will affect your site too.

All in on Linux hosting

US reseller hosts are also totally focused on traditional Linux hosting. WordPress is available as a one-click installation script, but there’s not much more to it than that. That’s just web hosting, hence the crosses on the ‘WordPress hosting’ row.
